I am thankful for open-source software. What is that, you ask? Basically it’s programs that people develop and distribute on the interwebs for free! Let me give you some examples of my favorites:
- WordPress
Life without WordPress? No fucking thank you. It’s so awesome it deserves (and may very well get) its own post. - GIMP
Who needs PhotoShop? Not this girl. Turns out I’m quite proficient with graphics. - Mp3tag
Not only is Mp3tag a rockin’ tag editor, it’s the best software for mass mp3 file renaming, hands down. - Calibre
Question: How would I manage my ebooks without Calibre? Answer: I wouldn’t. - WinSCP
My favorite FTP client. - FileZilla
My second favorite FTP client. - CCleaner
Great for registry cleaning and managing start up programs.
I’m sure I use more, but these are my favorites offhand. Also, I make sure to donate a few bucks to the developers each year for all their hard work.
