The Beez won both games last night. The first game was against Bob’s Scrappers (20-2) and the second was against the Enforcers (16-15). By some miracle it didn’t rain, despite weather reports of scattered storms all day long. I believe it’s because the “weather man” had been saying it would rain on Monday for the past 17 days. And the “weather man” being wrong takes precedence over it raining on Mondays.

The Beez first game last night was against All Star Sports. Despite it raining through the whole game and a couple bloody slides, we won 20-9.

The second game was against Cima Labs, final score 10-14. We may have lost, but it was fun to play a competitive game. And no breakdowns last night either, so I will be updating the header on the beez page shortly … 4 games since last breakdown!!

Once again it’s Monday and raining outside. The games will probably be called tonight, but not until everyone is on the field and soggy. I’ve decided to keep track of the rainy days vs. non-rainy days. Here’s the current tally:

Go Beez!!

The Beez won their second game of the season 17-10 against the Raiders. They were off to a shakey start, but pulled it together during the 3rd inning. The downpour came during the 5th. Fortunately they were able to finish the first game, but the second was rained out before it even began. And that pretty much foreshadows the rest of the season. Go Beez!!

Unfortunately Chay broke his finger in the first inning. Woops. Nothing says ecstasy quite like a bone sticking through your skin. Get better soon Chay!!

It smells like rain, so it must be Monday. Everyone cross your fingers and hope for no rain!! Sure it’s a 50% chance of rain. Fifty-schmifty. The forecast also uses words like “scattered” and “isolated.” I’ve already pulled my 6′ golf umbrella out of the closet for tonight. Being prepared is halfway to prevention. We don’t want to be playing 3 games a night in the bitter cold to make up for rain-outs again this year.
